John M. Gilreath is the Managing Director of MacMillan Captial Partners LLC (MCP), a corporate strategy and finance consultancy (http://www.MacMillanCapitalPartners.com).

Prior to MCP, John was the VP - Finance of Sunglow North America, Inc.  Sunglow is a wholly owned subsidiary of Avision, Inc., a publicly traded Taiwanese corporation.  Avision designs and manufactures image scanners and multifunction printers.

Previously, John was the VP & Director of Finance of Pandigital, Inc., which he joined in 2007.  Pandigital's assets were acquired by Sunglow in July 2012.  In that role he wasinvolved at all levels of corporate finance.   Pandigital was an original design manufacturer of digital photo frames, photo scanners, and Android tablets and distributed its products through big box retailers throughout the United States.

John has held VP level corporate banking sales and management positions at three regional and super regional financial institutions, as well as serving as the SVP - Marketing of a worldwide bank automation company. He has successfully managed and executed marketing and sales strategies and credit management for commercial banks, including the management of a Media, Communications, & Entertainment lending group which grew from $175 million to $350 million in assets.

John has extensive experience in structured presentations, negotiations and sales from the senior executive and board level down. His banking client base ranged from Fortune 100 to very small retail, manufacturing and industrial, and service businesses in both the publicly and privately held arenas. He successfully managed teams dedicated to leveraged loan production, as well as matrix management of mature small business loan portfolios in need of credit and yield enhancement for three super regional banks: Old Kent Bank (now part of Fifth Third), Norwest Minneapolis (now Wells Fargo), and Ameritrust (now part of Key Bank).

Subsequent to his commercial banking career, John has been engaged in corporate finance and investment banking.  In that regard, he has extensive experience in deal structure (leveraged senior and mezzanine); the brokerage and placement of commercial, industrial, and real estate debt; as well as client generation and presentations.  He is considered by peers as an expert in financial modeling of start-up, merger, and acquisition transactions.

He is recognized for his understanding of risk management and exposure issues relating to his involvement in the successful development of corporate lending and international trade finance software products.  He was active in on-site software development projects in Istanbul, Turkey, and Prague, Czech Republic.
